Meet the Teacher

This is my first time blogging...YIKES!!  I saw all the fabulous teaching blogs out there and thought I had to join! I thought I would introduce myself through questions from Meet the Teacher over at The First Grade Parade

I am originally from Columbus, Ohio but moved to North Carolina in 2006 because there were no teaching jobs in Ohio. Before I moved to North Carolina I taught Kindergarten for a year at a private daycare and thought to myself these are crap hours and I don't want to work at a daycare for the rest of my life! So...I sent applications anywhere and everywhere and I got a phone call from a principal in North Carolina and interviewed on the phone and she hired me on the spot. A week later I was moving to North Carolina...CRAZY!!!  I have been teaching first grade now for the last 4 years and I love every minute second of it!!!

This is my hubby and I in St. Lucia  last year celebrating our 5yr. anniversary! St. Lucia is an amazing place if you get a chance go!!! We will be married for 6yrs this coming July. We have two wonderful children....Eddie who is 6 and Mollie who is 2.  I love my dogs and wouldn't trade them for anything!!

I am a middle child. I have two brothers, Scott who is 31 and lives in Washington DC and Brian who just turned 26 and lives in New York. I love my brothers dearly, even though they drive me CRAZY!!!

This is my little brother Brian, me and my older brother Scott. We are at my brother Brian's wedding on New Years Day of this year. We are laughing because the photographer thought I was married to my brother Scott and they thought my husband was my brother...I know CRAZY...right?!

  2. It is amazing!! The only reason we went was because I am a huge fan of Bachelor/Bachelorette and they went to St. Lucia. But I am glad we went because it was gorgeous! If you stay at Sandals you get to visit all three of their resorts on St. Lucia free of charge. You can swim at their resort, eat there and do all the activities that are offered at the other resorts.
